A series of short films for anyone working within schools or educational settings exploring the experiences of racism and discrimination faced by many black, South Asian and mixed heritage pupils.
A 2020 report by the YMCA found that:
- 95% of young Black British people have witnessed racist language in education.
- More than half of males said they hear racist language in school ‘all the time’.
- Teacher perceptions are seen as the biggest barrier to educational success.
In these films students share their tips for encouraging everyone to be better allies and for working towards a truly inclusive educational experience.
